מרכז רודפי חכמה · ABOUT THE MERKAZ
A center for pursuing wisdom—together.
The Merkaz develops welcoming pathways into Jewish learning, practical educational tools, thoughtfully moderated community, and responsible stewardship of Jewish knowledge and objects.
We are rooted in Denver and designed to serve learners and educators well beyond one location.
Rodfei Chochmah
Pursuers of wisdom. The name emphasizes learning as a continuing practice rather than a credential or a finished answer.
What belongs under The Merkaz
The organization brings several related activities into one public home while keeping their operational and product boundaries clear.
Learning & reference
Primers, commentary, prayer, rabbinic literature, holidays, Hebrew, source collections, and guided learning pathways.
Tools & experiments
Interactive educational tools, text workbenches, source-sheet experiments, and educator resources—each with its own validation and release status.
Programs & community
Classes, gatherings, Espresso & Exegesis, learner groups, collaboration, and community practices designed around substantive learning.
Exchange & stewardship
Careful reuse and circulation of Jewish books, teaching materials, Judaica, and sacred-item workflows that require specialist review.
Digitization & preservation
Preserving useful printed material and making it discoverable with appropriate rights, provenance, and context.
Related does not mean interchangeable.
The Merkaz may use shared technology from the TableOfWisdom platform and may incubate individual products, but those projects retain distinct code, rights, evidence, release gates, and—where applicable—organizational or legal boundaries.
How we want to work
Source-aware. Pluralistic. Accessible. Honest about uncertainty. Careful with privacy and sacred material. Experimental without confusing prototypes for finished products. Sustainable enough to keep serving people.
